..he is strong…I am not talking about God here…although HE is my strength….I am talking about my wonderful Husband!! I have been going crazy with the girls, unpacking, organizing, cleaning, getting my business going, and well, you get the idea. The 2 older girls share a room and they decided to completely destroy it. NOT OKAY!!! I have had very little patience when it comes to my children lately…something I am not proud of and I just couldn’t take it anymore. So, the girls had to stay in the room until it was clean. They could come out to use the bathroom and to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. That’s it. They were in their room all day yesterday and today. I left to do a jewelry show tonight and when I came home…voila, room was clean!! How the heck did my husband manage to get them to do it?!? Did he help them?!?
He made them start with one thing at a time and then they could play in between the “projects.” Started off with only pick up your play clothes and put them away. That’s is, only the play clothes. When that was finished, they could play until he went in to check on their progress. Next were the stuffed animals, just put the stuffed animals away….this continued with one “project” at a time until it was done!! BRILLIANT!!
Honestly, I was just content to let them stay in their room for days on end until they decided to do it themselves. I just didn’t have the patience to deal with it. LAME, I know, but some days, it is all I can do not to just LOSE IT!! Most days I do LOSE IT, but I have to admit that my hubby swooped down and saved the day…or night. I am in awe at how he can compliment my weaknesses with his strength. I am sure it goes both ways, but more often then not, he is coming to my rescue, not the other way around!!!
THANK YOU D’Artagnon, for being an AMAZING HUSBAND and DADDY!! You still give me flutterbies!!
