Have you ever given someone advice (when asked) and felt in your heart that it was truly the best advice you could give them….then they follow through with your advice and now you are second guessing whether it was the right thing to do?!? Well, that is happening to me right now. I know in my heart of hearts that the advice I gave was biblical, true and completely rational, but now I am not sure if I should have said anything. The situation isn’t unfolding like I thought it would, and now I am stuck with sitting back and letting all the pieces fall where they may. I have prayed and prayed and have come out empty handed as to how to handle it. What to do?!? *sigh*

well I know I always hate it when I give good advice and they never follow it. If you feel the advice you gave was sound and good then don’t worry about it. Even if they did everything you told them to…..they decisions they have made since them or even before that can effect it and make things turn out differently. You always have to follow what is in your heart and what you know to be true. Don’t worry about it…..it may seem like it is going bad….but it might have to go bad for it to get better
When that happens, i try to remember this: In the absence of sin, there are no bad decisions, but there are also no good decisions. There are only decisions we have to live with.
Sometimes that makes it easier, and sometimes it makes it harder…but it always takes the pressure off.
Great post!
I tried to respond to this a few days ago, but the kids weren’t cooperating! It sounds like both Summer and Glen pretty much summed it up for you though.
I do hope that no matter what happens, your friend knows that you genuinely care for her!
