Well, my 2 yr old has been officially potty trained now for a couple of weeks!!
Huge success!!
I was looking for a potty training pic and came across this:
WHAT?!?
I thought it was funny!!
So last night, my little one was trying to get clean panties out of the drawer when I heard a large crash. Yep, the whole dresser, TV (don’t judge me
) and all, came crashing over. I have no idea how she made it out from underneath it all. I am SO glad she did though!! She kept crying last night, even during the night, saying her back hurt. This morning, she has a bruise on her lower back and we are watching it. She is walking fine and bending over and playing, so I think she will be okay. Just kind of scary. The dresser and TV landed against the big bunk bed. Praise the Lord she didn’t get trapped between them!! Goodness, it couldn’t have been really bad.
Oh, so she kept crying in the night and I let her come into bed with us just to keep an eye on her. She whimpered all night long. Saddness. Around 4:45am she peed….all over me. ICKY.
Mmmm-Hhmmm
For the Love

OHHHH goodness!! This is one of my BIGGEST fears. I have been majorly anal to tie and bolt all dressers to the wall, but have gotten a little lax with now the third child here and I think we have one dresser not bolted. I will bolt it today! haha. I am SOOOO glad that she is ok.
I love those nights when they are not themselves and we get to sleep with them (not so much the pee part!) haha.
And yeah for her being potty trained! that is awesome. Much easier for you guys too!
Wow, good to hear that she is okay! I did the exact same thing to my parent’s dresser some 40 odd years ago and they NEVER forgot it.
And congrats on having her potty trained. That’s a big accomplishment at such a young age. Kudos to you!
Hey, yay for PT. We haven’t gone there yet…
oh I have that same fear with Luchen…..he pulled on the draws in frustration when they don’t come out easy…..and he has a 10 gallon fish tank on top……it scares me to think what would happen if it fell over. Praise God the bunk bed caught it…poor thing
Also I know what it is like to be peed on….all of a sudden it gets really warm….and then you feel the wetness….gross!!! Luchen has done this to me and it was no enjoyable experience.
but hearing you tell it did make me laugh a little….hehe
Oh Kellie ~ I’m so glad she was okay…you’re right, that could have been horrible if she had gotten caught underneath it all.
LOL…had to laugh at her peeing all over you….ah yes, I remember those days!
Hugz,

glad that everything is ok! i heard “mom, mom” and ran into the other room to find erica half way up the book shelf. she was stuck to the front hanging on for dear life. it looked pretty funny, but so thankful she didnt turn the whole thing over!! so you have to tell me how you did the potty training. we are trying to get erica to go on the potty. it looks like it may take awhile. i can use all the help i can get

That potty training pic is from a book filled with other “do’s and don’ts” for new parents. It’s pretty funnny. Scott and I bought it for our friends a couple years ago.
Oh yeah, and I hope your little one is doing better by now. No judgement here…I still have a t.v. sitting on my daughter’s dresser even after reading this post! Guess I probably should move it, huh?
oh wow kellie, that must have been so scary! so so glad to hear she is ok! accidents happen. if she’s still in pain, a few chiropractic adjustments might help her recover quicker and help avoid any long term tissue damage – if you’re into that. they can usually do x-rays too if you wanted.
um, can you come over here and potty train my daughter? I’m suffering! Congrats to you though.
